WHAT WE DO:
American Consumer Credit Counseling (ACCC) is a not-for-profit credit counseling agency helping consumer regain control of their finances and plan for a debt-free future. Since 1991 we have successfully provided professional financial solutions for consumers and their families including budget and credit counseling, debt management plans and financial education.
As a leader in financial education, ACCC provides free workshops across Southern New England and support to programs outside our workshop service area. We work with schools, youth groups, companies, transitional populations, and asset development programs promoting financial stability through education. To better serve our community, ACCC partners with many organizations, including FDIC, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Lynn Business Education Foundation, Boston EITC, Junior Achievement, Operation Hope, and Salvation Army.
WHAT WE OFFER:
Workshops
ACCC has an internal workshop team that facilitates workshops throughout Southern New England. In addition to being Certified Credit Counselors, team members are Certified Educators in Personal Finance. ACCC has developed and utilizes a series of workshops focusing on the essential elements of money management including topics as Budgeting Basics, Credit, Understanding Credit Reports, and Teaching Children about Money. ACCC also the award winning the FDIC Money Smart program, Operation Hope's Banking on Our Future, and NEFE's High School Financial Education Program (HiFi) in local schools and youth group programs.
Financial Fitness Center
ACCC's Financial Fitness Center is an online resource offering enormous amount information on personal money management. Web seminars, podcasts, tips of the week, calculators, worksheets, resource articles, links and more are provided to help consumers better manage their money. WHAT'S NEW:
Corporate Partners Program
In addition to our community partners, ACCC is concentrating on our Corporate Partners Program. We are now offering on site days with a Certified Financial Counselor, support and training for HR professionals and EAP in-take counselors, and co-branding opportunities. Seminars on Budgeting, Credit Reports, Teaching Children about Money, Managing Credit Card Debt, and Saving for Retirement are exclusively being offered to corporations throughout Southern New England.
Financial Fitness E-Newsletter
The ACCC Financial Fitness E-newsletter is distributed to business and community partners on a quarterly basis via e-mail. It includes information on current events and news related to personal finance, tips and tools to be a savvier consumer, and ACCC program information.
