WHAT WE OFFER:

Secret Millionaires Club

The Secret Millionaires Club (SMC) is an animated series of short web episodes (webisodes) and half-hour prime-time TV specials. The series features Warren Buffett and a group of fictional young friends facing and resolving day-to-day financial and character-based challenges. Get started with the SMC at www.SMCkids.com!

The Secret Millionaires Club “Learn & Earn” program provides financial literacy and entrepreneurship activities for kids. Separate categories of activities have been designed for in-class, at-home, and youth-group use. Additional activities will be made available for afterschool clubs interested in creating an SMC club and kids who want to complete entrepreneurial activities on their own. These robust financial literacy materials are sponsored by the Fairholme Foundation and have been developed for free distribution to schools, youth groups, and families. Classroom-specific activities are built upon Common Core State Standards and national financial literacy standards to ensure maximum integration with core curricula. Activity guides for parents and youth group facilitators allow for easy implementation by any adult. Learn more about the “Learn & Earn” program at www.SMCLearnAndEarn.com!

WHAT WE NEED:

We need great ideas from kids! A cornerstone of the Secret Millionaire’s Club “Learn & Earn” program is an annual national competition that challenges kids 7–14 to come up with a concept for a new business. The “Learn & Earn” financial literacy materials and website activities walk kids through the process. This fall, the third annual “Grow Your Own Business Challenge” kicks off on October 22, 2013. Individuals or teams of 2 to 4 students, ages 7–14, will have an opportunity to submit their entries to win up to $5,000 each—and all finalists will get to pitch their business ideas to Warren Buffett! Teachers/instructors win, too—up to $1,000 each, plus a trip to the finalist celebration event with Mr. Buffett! Visit www.SMCkids.com/teacher-register-lite and register to find out more today!
