Committees
The Kentucky Jump$tart Coalition has formed the following committees in order to achieve its goals.
Education Committee
Handles education issues including curriculum review, teaching training events, etc.
Chairperson: Leslie Slaughter, Kentucky Department of Education
Fundraising Committee
Researches and writes all grant proposals. Plans and implements all fundraising events, etc.
Chairperson: Vicki Blair, Kentucky Society of CPAs
Government Affairs Committee
Monitors legislation in relation to personal finance education, and maintains communication with lawmakers.
Chairperson: Jim Young, Springleaf Financial Services
Membership Committee
Handles membership issues including development of new members, communication among current members and keeping member information up-to-date.
Chairperson: Mary Jackey, Class Act Federal Credit Union
Public Awareness Committee
Handles all public relations for the coalition including quarterly partner updates, press releases, etc.
Chairperson: Cate Mart, United Way of the Bluegrass
