The Greater Washington Jump$tart Coalition is comprised of more than 50 individuals and organizations representing business, non-profit, education, and government entities. Formed in 2006, the Greater Washington Jump$tart Coalition (www.gwjumpstart.org) is an affiliate of the national Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.(www.jumpstart.org).
Passionate in our belief that teaching personal finance to young people in schools is crucial, the Greater Washington Jump$tart Coalition’s mission is to collaborate and support personal financial literacy of pre-kindergarten through college students in the Greater Washington region. Our dedicated partners contribute time, expertise and educational resources that educators can integrate into their curriculum. With great appreciation, we give recognition to educators for their financial literacy efforts in schools.

Jump$tart National Educator Conference 2014
|The Jump$tart Coalition National Educator Conference is the only national conference for classroom teachers dedicated to personal finance education in the classroom. Each year, the conference provides PreK-12 educators with financial education resources, personal and professional development , access to a nation-wide network of colleagues, and general support for financial education. GWJ$ and University of Maryland Extension collaborate with PGCPS on 1st PGCPS Financial Literacy Community Day for 300 Middle Schoolers and Parents: March 15 for schools participating in PGCPS financial literacy pilot.
