Goals Include

  • Continually assess the level of financial literacy in the Greater Washington area (District of Columbia, Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland) using available surveys and testing of student performance.
  • Develop and maintain a clearinghouse of personal financial resources, statewide bureau of contacts and speakers available for training and information on personal financial literacy.
  • Serve as a resource for the state legislature to assess effectiveness of pertinent legislation.
  • Build awareness of and promote support for the need for personal finance education.

Benefits Include

Partners: We advance our partners initiatives, as a true coalition, through resource sharing on promotions, events, newsletters and our Web site.

Educators: We provide access to a vast clearinghouse of financial literacy curriculum and highly trained volunteers from our coalition members.

Teachers: We provide access to programs, games, and interactive tools to teach children the importance of learning basic financial skills.
