WHAT WE DO:
Funded by H&R Block Inc. (NYSE: HRB), one of the world’s largest tax services providers, H&R Block Dollars & Sense provides personal finance curriculum to high schools and scholarships to students nationwide. Since 2009, H&R Block Dollars & Sense has donated more than $3 million in grants and scholarships.
WHAT WE OFFER:
We offer access to free personal finance materials.
- Online Learning: In partnership with the Council for Economic Education, we’re providing free, state-of-the-art financial education to anyone interested in honing their personal finance skills. The program is available to any teacher, student, parent or client. Developed for middle school and high school students, Gen i Revolution is an online game that includes 15 missions in which players attempt to help people in financial trouble. - Curriculum Giveaways: Every
week in November, we are providing teachers with free copies of Learning,
Earning, and Investing for a New Generation, a Gen i companion resource to
help leverage the online game in the classroom. Teachers should visit www.hrblockdollarsandsense.com
to apply for the
curriculum giveaway.
WHAT WE NEED:

Block Dollars & Sense is committed to help increase financial fitness one
classroom at a time. We’d love help
making teachers aware of Gen i Revolution and the giveaway of classroom
materials.
WHAT’S NEW:
- The Gen i Revolution game features 15 interactive missions to help students learn personal finance concepts. Within each mission, students are introduced to a character facing a financial crisis. Students learn about the crisis, strategically select “operatives” and complete activities while competing against classmates to solve the mission.
- The
Gen i classroom companion guide, Learning, Earning,
and Investing® for a New Generation helps teachers integrate the online
game with classroom activities. H&R Block will give away 650 copies of the
companion guide this month. Teachers can enter to through November 30 at www.hrblockdollarsandsense.com. Winners will be
determined by a random drawing each Monday through Dec. 3 and announced on the H&R Block Dollars & Sense website and Facebook page.
