Jill joined the Jump$tart team in February 2014.
She has 30 years of communications experience working in the cooperative business community. During her career, Ms. Stevenson has worked in the communications departments of the Credit Union National Association, the National Credit Union Foundation, the National Cooperative Business Association, and the National Cooperative Bank.
Ms. Stevenson’s writing credits include: feature writer for the award winning Cooperative Business Journal, and the author of the video, The ABC’s of Cooperative Childcare. She is also credited as the researcher on The Spirit of Cooperation, a documentary film on cooperatives.

Her responsibilities in managing these sites included: writing, editing and posting text, photos, news features and presentations. She created new sections on these web sites that featured event registrations, donation forms, and e-newsletters.
Her other communications work includes social media, writing press releases, program brochures, annual reports, e-newsletters, and awards dinner/reception scripts.
She received her BA in theatre arts with an emphasis in playwriting from Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, North Carolina in 1977. In 1984, she completed an 8- month course to become a certified computer programmer from ECPI, in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2008, Ms. Stevenson attended credit union development education training and was certified as a Credit Union Development Educator.
