Michelle Singletary is a nationally syndicated columnist for The Washington Post. Her award-winning column, "The Color of Money," is carried in over 100 newspapers and provides insight into the world of personal finance. The column won Best in Business for a series that ran in 2007, received an award from the Society of American Business Editors and was even nominated for a Pulitzer just a year after its first appearance in The Post. Her personal brand of collected wisdom and rigorously tested financial strategies motivate listeners and provides true insight into the world of personal finance.
Michelle is also the author of three books, “Spend Well, Live Rich: How to Live Well With the Money You Have” (Random House); “Your Money and Your Man: How You and Prince Charming Can Spend Well and Live Rich” (Random House), and the recently published “The Power to Prosper: 21 Days to Financial Freedom,” published by Zondervan, a HarperCollins company. In 2006 “Your Money and Your Man" was a finalist for “Books for a Better Life," which honors the best self-improvement books of the year. This highly regarded award promotes the importance of a large and fast-growing segment in the book publishing business.
Eric is a Financial Advisor with SWBC Investment Services located at La Capitol Federal Credit Union and has extensive experience in the financial services industry. He enjoys educating his clients on the economy and financial markets. Eric truly believes in helping clients achieve their goals through a well-constructed plan. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Nicholls State University in 2003 and has served in the financial services industry for over 8 years. His combined industry experience as a para-planner and financial advisor provide him with the building blocks needed to help anyone reach their goals.
Joshua works as an Outreach Coordinator and Legislative Liaison with the Office of Louisiana Attorney General James D. Caldwell. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Communication Studies and is currently pursuing his juris doctorate from Southern University Law Center. Joshua holds personal and professional interest in public policy, the political sector philanthropy, mentorship and education.
Layne is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant and President/CEO of Noesis Data, Innovative Analytics, and Credit Bureau of Baton Rouge Foundation. He serves on numerous Boards including the Louisiana Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy; Boy Scouts of America, Istrouma Area Council; Manship Theatre; Big Buddy Program; and Rotary Club of Baton Rouge Foundation. He also serves as a volunteer for Junior Achievement and as a member of the Louisiana Society of CPAs’ Financial Literacy Committee.
