Award-Winning Author and Syndicated Columnist Michelle Singletary to Emcee Annual Awards Dinner
WASHINGTON, April 3, 2013…The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® marks the start of Financial Literacy Month by announcing that nationally syndicated Washington Post Columnist Michelle Singletary will, once again, emcee Jump$tart’s annual awards dinner on April 23.  Known for her popular column, “The Color of Money,” Ms. Singletary also served as dinner emcee in 2011. Jump$tart Coalition to Honor Senator Hagan; Dr. Lusardi,and Others at Annual April Awards Dinner
WASHINGTON, March 4, 2013…The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® has selected U.S. Senator Kay Hagan (D-NC) as the winner of its 2013 Federal Leadership Award. Jump$tart Coalition President Receives Financial Literacy Award

Washington, DC—Laura Levine, president & CEO of the Jump$tart Coalition® for Personal Financial Literacy has been awarded the Eagle Award from the Society for Financial Education & Professional Development (SFEPD).  Ted Daniels, president and CEO of The Society, announced the prestigious award during the organization’s annual conference at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington, DC.  The award, which began in 2007, recognizes an entity or individual who has demonstrated outstanding commitment and made significant contributions to the field of financial literacy. Experian public education leader elected to Jump$tart Coalition board of directors

Costa Mesa, Calif., Dec. 15, 2011 —  Experian®, the leading global information services company, in partnership with the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy®, today announced Experian’s election to Jump$tart’s national board of directors, with Maxine Sweet, Experian vice president of public education, as its representative to the board. Jump$tart Coalition Board of Directors Elects New Officers

Washington, DC—The Board of Directors of the national Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® announced today that it has elected Ted Beck, president and CEO of the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), chairman of the Jump$tart board. Mr. Beck succeeds Neil Milner of the Conference of State Bank Supervisors, who has announced his retirement. Mr. Milner served as Jump$tart chairman for the past three years. Read the full release.

WASHINGTON, September 29, 2011 Washington, DC—The Board of Directors of the Jump$tart Coalition® for Personal Financial Literacy announced today that the coalition was the recipient of the 2011 “Wealth Watchers Financial Literacy Advocate Award”. WASHINGTON, April 13, 2011 The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy® will present Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke with its 2011 Federal Leadership Award this evening, in Washington, DC. This award recognizes Chairman Bernanke's leadership, contributions, and long-term commitment to the financial literacy effort, as well as many years of support to Jump$tart.
