Recently JA of Kentuckiana opened two new learning labs in the James W. Robinson Center for Freedom of Enterprise. Sam Swope Exchange City serves 5th grade students and allows them to run the city for the day. Chase Finance Park is designed to teach 8th grade students about personal budgeting. Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions
The Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions (DFI) is the state agency responsible for the supervision of the financial services industry and for chartering, licensing and registering various financial institutions, securities firms and professionals operating in Kentucky. DFI offers an educational outreach program to provide consumers with free practical education materials and free financial workshops. DFI offers free presentations/workshops on investing, credit, budgeting, avoiding fraud and other financial topics. In addition, DFI offers several free classroom curriculums and a number of financial brochures and booklets.

The Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA) is a public corporation and governmental agency and instrumentality of the Commonwealth established in 1966 to improve students' access to higher education. To that end, KHEAA administers several financial aid programs and disseminates information about higher education opportunities in the form of free publications, workshops and web services for students, parents and adults.

The office provides informal mediation services to consumers with marketplace disputes, reviews consumer complaints for fraudulent business practices and enforces laws which protect consumers. The office also coordinates LifeSmarts, a national high school consumer education program, which focuses on personal finance and other life skills areas of study.

Office of Career & Technical Education
The Office of Career and Technical Education's state operated system of Kentucky TECH schools provides quality technical education through secondary institutions (including 56 area technology centers) and training programs for business and industry designed to meet a company's specific training needs. The primary purpose of area technology centers is to serve high school students by enhancing and expanding student career options that lead to continuation of education at the postsecondary level and/or successful employment upon graduation from high school.

United Way of the Bluegrass

United Way unites people from across the community to work together to identify and address the issues that matter most, change conditions and improve lives. By focusing on health, education, and income United Way of the Bluegrass works to improve the communities of Central Kentucky. It’s matched savings program, Back on Track, helps families and individuals saving to buy a home, start a business, or continue their education through financial education and financial assistance. United Way also leads the Central Kentucky Economic Empowerment Project, a volunteer income tax assistance program that serves approximately 3,000 low and moderate income families with tax preparation.
