Authorization:
The Nevada Senate enacted SB 317 requiring personal finance concepts to be taught to all high school students, starting July 1, 2009.
Curriculum:
SB 317 outlines three main areas of required instruction related to personal finance. Students must have the skills and knowledge necessary for financial responsibility, managing finances, and understanding credit and debt.
Status Description:
Personal Finance Education requirements may be implemented into existing courses required for graduation.
