Utah Teachers Eligible for FLITE Scholarships
Financial Literacy Instructional Techniques for Educators is a program of the Institute for Financial Literacy and provides K-12 teachers with the background knowledge and curriculum ideas they need to give students a foundation for making smart financial decisions throughout their lives. FLITE enrolls teachers in the Certified Educator in Personal Finance® (CEPF®) program, a professional certification and training program developed to improve the knowledge and expertise of financial literacy educators. Teachers who complete the FLITE program receive a CEPF designation, administered by the Institute for Financial Literacy's Center for Financial Certifications.
Scholarships are now available (May 15, 2010 deadline) through grant funding & private donations for teachers working in Maine, New York City & Utah. Any teacher in these areas may apply for a Teachers Take FLITE scholarship. The program was developed to encourage the teachers to incorporate financial literacy education into the classroom at all grade levels.

The Utah Jump$tart Coalition® for Personal Financial Literacy (UJ$C)was organized in September 2000 and became an official National Jump$tart coalition affiliate in February of 2001. UJ$C is a statewide, 501(c)(3)non-profit organization. Consisting of individuals and organizations, the coalition brings together leaders from business, government, and educators. UJ$C is governed by volunteer Board of Directors and Advisory Committee members. This Website has been approved by the Utah State Office of Education as a recommended resource for students and teachers.
