Welcome to the Virginia Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy

The Virginia Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy (Virginia Jump$tart) works to improve the financial literacy of Virginians. The goals of the Virginia JumpStart Coalition are to collaborate, educate and advocate to promote financial literacy for Virginians.

Collaborate

Attract and bring together financial literacy practitioners that enable Jump$tart to cultivate informative relationships and build a foundation for advocacy.

Educate

Be a resource for financial literacy information for state legislature, member organizations, financial literacy providers and Virginia educators.

Advocate

Build awareness among government officials, educators and the general public of the need for financial literacy.

 

The Virginia Financial Literacy Summit will take place on October 13, 2014!

    Register Now!: We hope you'll join the Virginia Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy at the 2014 Virginia Financial Literacy Summit on October 13 2014, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Richmond Marriott Hotel at no cost to you! We will be celebrating 10 years of Financial Literacy efforts.

    This special Summit is designed to offer Virginia's school systems ongoing resources and teaching models for integrating the economics and financial literacy education requirement in the classroom. We have a variety of speakers and workshops that will provide tangible lesson plans and ideas that can be easily applied in a classroom setting.
