MOney Mammals

WHAT WE DO:

The Money Mammals have helped children and families everywhere learn to share, save and spend smart too since 2005. The award-winning “Money Mammals: Saving Money Is Fun” DVD, was the first video created specifically to teach kids about the value of money. The Money Mammals and Chief Mammal John Lanza have been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NBC, CBS and media outlets across the U.S. and Canada. The Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club, featuring The Money Mammals, is a family program and interactive website available for license by businesses in the U.S. to promote financial literacy. Visit www.themoneymammals.com for more information.

WHAT WE OFFER:

  • The Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club: The Money Mammals Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club is a customizable family program that focuses on the relevant financial literacy issues of today and the future. The mission of the Kids Club is to help families help kids to learn great money habits with the many credit union and business partners who have licensed the club.
  • Money Mammals Products: The newest book in the Share, Save & Spend Smart book series, Joe the Monkey Learns to Share, was just published in December. It joins the first book, the award-winning Joe The Monkey Saves For A Goal, and the award-winning DVD to help teach kids (and families) about sharing, saving and spending smart.  All of our products can be purchased in bulk and branded for your institution through the Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club.
  • Live Events: The Money Mammals can come to you to perform live before an audience of children and their parents.  Our events, which have been performed internationally, include a full puppet show production, complete with interactive video elements and audience interaction.  These unforgettable performances help introduce kids to financial literacy basics and get them excited to learn more with our teaching guide and other educational material.

WHAT WE NEED:

The Money Mammals are looking for corporate partners to work with us to spread our financial literacy message to their employees and communities.  We can do this via Kids Club partnerships and customized product offerings to employees or credit union members, large-scale performances with puppets, video and activities, smaller-scale picture book readings or even interactive webinars.

WHAT’S NEW:

  • New Book! Our latest book – Joe The Monkey Learns to Share – is reaching critical acclaim for its message about sharing.  Kids learn about the importance of charitable giving in this second book in the Share, Save & Spend Smart series, which features Joe the Monkey and The Money Mammals.  See our recent press, including interviews on NBC and CBS, online at http://www.themoneymammals.com/aboutus/press.php.
  • New Website! The all-new Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club website launches this April, with new $mart Mammals Educational Quests where kids learn about key financial literacy subjects and badges that can be earned by playing our games and activities.
  • Allowance Webinars: We’ve produced an online webinar on the topic of allowance aimed at helping families – especially parents – institute an effective allowance system.  The webinar provides the background on why an allowance system is important to use at home.  These webinars are available for institutional use, so contact us if you’re interested in offering one to your customers, constituents or members.
