America Saves is committed to the nation’s financial well-being. We provide relatable, easy-to-implement strategies to empower Americans to successfully save. We make financially stability attainable through sharing techniques, tools and resources that are grounded in behavioral economics to build positive saving behaviors. We are committed to changing the emotional tone and voice in the financial advice landscape, ensuring that we curate our content for the everyday individual, we meet them where they are, and give practical advice based on their real life experience.
Since 2007 America Saves Week is a time honored event for organizations all around the country to partner with one another to promote savings as a way to help Americans reduce debt and build wealth. The Week is coordinated by America Saves with support from select nonprofit, government, financial services, cooperative extension, and education partners. It is an opportunity to transform the lives of millions of Americans by working with and beyond your community to encourage and support good savings behaviors.
This year America Saves Week is February 21 – 25, 2022.
Moving Financial Literacy Forward
America Saves Week 2022 has one single focus – Building Financial Resilience. Being financially resilient is more than having access to money; it includes being conscious of your own financial landscape, being aware of available resources, and being willing to seek out and take advantage of opportunities that will support and increase your financial wellness. As in past years, America Saves Week will be a time to encourage your community to do a financial check-in to get a clear view of their finances. Each day has a theme centering on one of five critical areas of financial wellness. This year we are approaching each of those themes through the lens of how to support individuals as they build financial resilience. We’ll also address socio-economic barriers that affect the ability of many Americans to save.
Together, thousands of organizations and institutions will amplify information, resources and tools that will allow individuals and families to take action toward building financial confidence.
Sign up to become a participation organization at americasavesweek.org. You’ll receive access to the America Saves Week 2022 Digital Toolkit and training in how to make the most of #ASW2022. Your organization will also become eligible to earn the Designation of Savings Excellence or Savings Champions awards.
The #ThinkLikeASaver Virtual Town Hall Series brings together dynamic and down-to-earth financial experts, influencers, and everyday Americans to discuss best practices and share resources, tools, and strategies that promote saving effectively, reducing debt and building wealth. The 2022 town hall series will feature 3 events in October and November.
