Who We Are
America Saves, an initiative of the Consumer Federation of America, is a non-profit organization that uses principles of behavioral economics and social marketing to motivate, encourage and support everyday Americans to save money, reduce debt, build wealth and create better financial habits.
America Saves encourage individuals and families to take the America Saves pledge, a tool that empowers them to commit to save successfully with a plan. Thousands of non-profit, government, and corporate organizations partner with America Saves through local, regional, statewide, and national campaigns both year-round and during America Saves Week.
What We Offer
America Saves supports their partners and savers in several different ways:
- Participate in America Saves Week, our annual national campaign well as a call to action for everyday Americans to commit to saving successfully. Through the support of thousands of participating organizations, together they encourage local communities to do a ‘gut-check’ on their finances and saving behaviors.
- Receive news, updates, and done for you resources to share with your community on social media through the Partner Resource Packets
- Split to Save— a program for employers to encourage their employees to sign up for automatic savings via split deposit
- Direct support for your community of savers. Individuals who take the America Saves Pledge receive communication in the form of goal based emails, text message reminders, tips, and nudges, monthly digital newsletters, and the #ThinkLikeASaver FB Group community
- Embeddable Pledge Forms to allow your community to take the America Saves Pledge without leaving your website
- The opportunity to be featured in any relevant and aligned communications from America Saves to savers, (ie highlighting your organization in goal based emails, text messages, newsletter, or FB Group)
- Custom resources and partner events to help encourage and motivate your community to save more effectively
