At Fidelity, we are invested in building the financial health of communities where we work and live. Fidelity Financial Forward offers educators, parents, and anyone with a vested interest in a child’s education the necessary tools to teach children from grades K-12 about healthy money habits. These efforts have reached 4,500 teachers, who in turn have shared these financial concepts with more than 450,000 students nationwide since 2015.

It’s never too early to start learning about basic money concepts, which is why Fidelity is passionate about helping schools and teachers feel more confident teaching their students about money and investing from a young age.

We believe everyone should know how finances fit into their life, but access to financial tools is often unequal – especially in underserved communities. Fidelity is helping build more financially literate communities by working with non-profit organizations that are responding to challenges that stem from racial inequity and social injustice.

To best deliver financial education programs and experiences for communities of color that support building wealth and saving for retirement, we are refining our financial education offerings for kids, teachers and parents.

What We Offer

Through Fidelity Financial Forward we are providing K-12 students and teachers a head start for the “real world” of financial planning and decisions. Students gain an understanding of saving, investing, spending, and planning in the context of today’s changing economy, and are better prepared to make personal finance and investing decisions for their lives. The Fidelity Learning Lab provides educators with relevant resources, tools and strategies to use in the classroom. These self-guided courses help teachers develop an understanding of how money impacts students’ futures, while building their own self-confidence in teaching financial wellness concepts. The opportunity to network and collaborate with fellow educators in a virtual environment is a key feature of the program.

Through FinLit Volunteers we leverage our associates’ skills in financial services to provide financial literacy support in the classroom to teachers across the country.
