A conversation with Dario Stipisic, Senior Program Director
So tell us, what’s new? During National Financial Literacy Month, we celebrated the achievement of the 100 Best W!se High Schools Teaching Personal Finance at the United Federation of Teachers headquarters in New York City. Many schools attended the award ceremony in person and the event was live-streamed to a national audience. Moreover, scholars from across the country who scored 95 percent or higher on the W!se financial literacy certification exam were invited recently to submit applications for consideration of the Ambassador Award, an annual competition that provides scholarship funding to advance financial literacy in the scholars’ communities. Lastly, we are planning a few notable enhancements to our practice test and mobile apps which have been widely used by students preparing for the certification exam.
What’s the impact this has had/or you hope it will have on moving financial literacy forward? W!se is committed to leveraging technology such as the practice test to enable students to be successful on the certification exam. Students are already very savvy with technology so financial literacy applications need to play a complementary role and facilitate learning with technology.
How do we learn more?
