Hill Day 2018
The 2018 Financial Literacy Day on Capitol Hill (Hill Day) was held on April 12 in the Hart Senate Office Building, Room 902. See how the event unfolded on Twitter using #FLHillDay2018.
Jump$tart President and CEO Laura Levine once again served as emcee. She opened the event with an “Aloha” greeting in honor of Hill Day’s first honorary host, U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka, who passed away just days before the event. Hill Day 2018 was dedicated to Senator Akaka, fondly remembered as the “godfather” of financial literacy.
Honorary Co-Host, U.S. Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI), addressed the crowd first, followed by U.S. Representatives Joyce Beatty (D-OH-3) and Steve Stivers (R-OH-15), co-chairs of the House Financial and Economic Literacy Caucus and prior honorary co-hosts of Hill Day.
2018 Honorary Co-Hosts
Each year, Members of Congress serve as honorary hosts for the event. This year, we thank our honorary co-hosts U.S. Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and U.S. Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI) and their staffs for their help with this event and their ongoing support of financial literacy.
Jump$tart and its partners thank our generous sponsors, listed below, for making Hill Day 2018 possible.
