Joining the Coalition

The Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy brings together like-minded, nationally focused organizations to work collectively and collaboratively to advance financial literacy, especially among preschool through college-age students.  Jump$tart National Partner organizations come from many sectors — business, finance, education, nonprofits, academia, government, and more. If your organization is interested in joining the coalition, please take a look at the information below and let us know if you have any questions — or if you’re ready to request an application now!

Partnership Dues at Work

Much of the Jump$tart Coalition operating budget comes from partnership dues, which are based on the type and size of an organization. Some of the ways we use your dues:

  • To raise awareness about the importance of financial literacy and the need for effective financial education through our ongoing media, social media, online, and in-person communications efforts.
  • To connect teachers, families, and others with good quality financial education resources through the Jump$tart Clearinghouse.
  • To guide and support our network of independent, affiliated State Coalitions, which serve as grassroots financial literacy advocates through the United States and its territories.
  • To promote and distribute the National Standards in K-12 Personal Finance Education.
  • To support professional development for classroom teachers through the Jump$tart Financial Foundations for Educators Model, J$FFE Online, and the Jump$tart National Educator Conference.

“One of the most valuable things about Jump$tart is its ability to bring together a wide range of constituents interested in financial literacy. Whether you’re big or small, government or for-profit, or academic … Jump$tart represents all of us.”

- Ted Beck - Former CEO & President National Endowment for Financial Education
