The Kentucky Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy believes that all Kentuckians need to have the financial literacy necessary to make informed financial decisions and seeks to improve money management skills throughout the life cycle of Kentuckians.
The Kentucky Jump$tart Coalition is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization with more than 25 individuals and organizations representing business, education, government and nonprofit associations who have joined together to improve the personal financial literacy of Kentuckians of all ages. Jump$tart is raising the public’s awareness that personal finance management is a fundamental life skill that needs to be taught to our nation’s youth.
Kentucky Jump$tart Coalition goals:
- Evaluate and improve personal financial literacy.
- Develop, disseminate and encourage the use of standards for grades K-12.
- Promote the teaching of personal finance throughout the life cycle.
The Kentucky Jump$tart Coalition is a proud affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. The National Jump$tart Coalition, based in Washington, D.C., is an inherently balanced Coalition for personal financial education and consists of more than 200 organizations. Jump$tart is a non-profit, diverse group founded in 1995. They are making great strides toward helping all people — including traditionally underserved populations — achieve economic health through financial education, which leads to healthy credit, homeownership, and stronger communities.
