Register now for the Virginia Jump$tart Financial Literacy Summit! We hope you will plan to join us for an exciting afternoon of learning best practices for teaching personal finance education. This is a FREE conference for all attendees!

Hear from experts and get access to resources from the following organizations: The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Virginia Council on Economic Education, Virginia Credit Union Cares Foundation, Wells Fargo, Virginia Credit Union, Virginia Society of CPA’s, and Care 4 Your Future.

Educators who attend will also be eligible to apply for the Virginia Jump$tart’s Transition Teaching Grant. The Virginia Jump$tart Coalition will award up to 10 teachers a $500 Instructional Transition Grant to help with expenses incurred as Virginia’s Economics and Personal Finance and other financial literacy teachers transition from traditional face-to-face teaching to virtual and/or hybrid instruction during this time of COVID-19.

Winners will be selected by the Jump$tart Coalition’s Teacher Recognition Committee based on the innovative teaching strategies and resources being developed and used to provide a quality instruction to students of financial literacy. To be eligible, you must:

  • be a licensed Virginia teacher who is teaching Economics and Personal Finance during the 2020-2021 school year or teaching financial literacy as a strong and ongoing component in other appropriate courses, and
  • have attended the 2020 Virtual Virginia Jump$tart Summit.

During the Summit, we will give all participants access to the Grant Application. Applications will be due on November 9, 2020. Winners will be announced on November 30, 2020.
