The American Financial Services Association Education Foundation (AFSAEF), an affiliate of the American Financial Services Association (AFSA), was established in February 1990 as a nonprofit 501(c)3. AFSA, founded in 1916, is the national trade association for providers of financial services to consumers and small businesses.

The mission of AFSAEF is to develop educational materials promoting consumer awareness of personal money management skills and provide a forum for research on issues impacting consumer finance. These materials help the public understand the credit process, where to go for help if credit problems occur, and realize the benefits of responsible money management.

MoneySKILL® is AFSAEF’s primary personal financial education offering for students (middle school, high school, college). The free, online curriculum includes the content areas of income expenses, saving and investing, credit, and insurance.
