In June 2019, NDI opened the Center for Disability-Inclusive Community Development (CDICD). The Center works to improve the financial health and well-being of low and moderate income (LMI) individuals with disabilities and their families by increasing awareness and usage of the opportunities and resources available under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA). The new Center will be a one-stop location for training, technical assistance and research that supports financial institutions to meet CRA obligations through inclusive community development activities that focus on the needs of low-income people with disabilities and their families. The CDICD fills a knowledge and technical assistance gap that no existing public or private resource currently offers to the financial and/or disability communities.
